Our Story

Built on Conviction,
Rooted in
Community.

Kingtopia College started without a formal strategic plan. It was driven by a persistent question: why should factors like geography, income, or family responsibilities prevent a leader from developing?

- The Origin

The Gap That Demanded An Answer

Arizona is home to hundreds of thousands of working professionals, single parents, pastors, nonprofit leaders, educators, and community builders — individuals who carry significant responsibility and extraordinary potential. What has been missing is not calling or capacity, but opportunity. For too long, communities across this state have lacked a graduate-level Christian college intentionally designed around its members' rhythms, responsibilities, and realities.

That gap revealed an invitation: to reimagine graduate education around access, calling, and service rather than convenience. Many traditional programs are excellent, but they are often designed for those with the financial flexibility, time to spare, and geographic freedom to relocate, commute long distances, or take on significant debt. Faithful leaders in our communities deserve another option — one that honors their commitments, removes unnecessary barriers, and equips them to lead well without stepping away from the people they are called to serve.

That conviction became the foundation of Kingtopia College. It is more than a slogan or a positioning statement. It is a non-negotiable commitment that guides every decision we make — from tuition and scheduling to the locations where learning happens.

justice.

At Kingtopia College, justice reflects the very heart of God, who consistently draws near to the overlooked, the burdened, and the faithful. Scripture makes clear that justice is central to God’s character and essential to His kingdom.

For us, justice takes tangible form in the daily work of opening doors that have too often remained closed. This includes, for example, the working mother who leads a nonprofit while navigating financial constraints, the pastor faithfully shepherding a congregation without formal credentials, and the first‑generation graduate student preparing to place the first master’s degree in their family on the wall.

We believe God calls leaders forward to serve, equip, and restore rather than to carry unnecessary financial weight long after graduation. Our graduates leave with clarity of calling, accessible credentials, and the freedom to lead well. This is not wishful thinking. It is a faithful response to God’s call to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly, and it is the kind of institution we are intentionally building.

Who We Are.

Practitioners Who Have Lived This Work

Kingtopia College is led and shaped by people who have spent decades in the classrooms, boardrooms, and community spaces where leadership actually happens.

Our founder brings over 15 years of experience coaching leaders and executive leadership teams across nonprofit, ministry, education, and community sectors. With a doctorate in educational leadership, active board service across multiple community organizations, and four years as a professor, the vision for Kingtopia was forged through practice rather than theory. It emerged from real conversations with leaders who were ready to grow and seeking an accessible place to do so.

We are building Kingtopia College from within the community it is designed to serve.

01 Debt‑Conscious by Design
$475 per credit hour with books included. Kingtopia College operates independently of federal loan programs, using a financial model built from the outset to keep costs transparent, responsible, and accessible.

02 Community‑Embedded by Conviction
Kingtopia College gathers where people already live, lead, and serve. Cohorts meet in partner churches and nonprofits across the region, allowing graduate education to take place directly within the community.

03 Formation‑Centered by Calling
Every student is supported by a dedicated Cohort Mentor from day one through graduation. Our approach develops leaders whose character, discernment, and practice grow alongside their credentials.

04 Justice‑Driven by Mission
Every program, policy, and partnership is evaluated through a single guiding question: does this expand access and opportunity for leaders called to serve?

 FAQs

  • Kingtopia College is not yet enrolling students. Our founding cohorts in the Master of Organizational Leadership (MOL) and the Master of Arts in Global Development and Justice (MAGDJ) are planned to launch in Fall 2027.

  • Kingtopia College was built around the leader's life, not around an institution's convenience. Classes meet one evening per week at partner churches and nonprofits in your community — no central campus, no long commutes. Tuition is $475 per credit hour, books are included in every master's program, and we do not participate in federal loan programs. Our goal is for every student to graduate with little to no debt.

No other graduate Christian college in Arizona is structured this way.

  • Master's degree programs are 36 credit hours at $475 per credit hour, for a total program cost of $17,100. Books are included at no additional charge.

Kingtopia College does not participate in federal student loan programs. Payment options include full payment, installment plans, and institutional scholarships and grants for eligible students. The EdD program is 54 credit hours at $550 per credit hour. The Graduate Certificate is 15 credit hours at $450 per credit hour.

  • Kingtopia College is a Christ-centered institution rooted in Christian values, and our programs are designed within a Christian framework.

Students do not need to hold a specific theological background or church affiliation to apply, but prospective students should understand that faith, calling, and Kingdom purpose are woven throughout every program. We welcome any leader who is open to learning within that context and committed to serving others well.

  • Kingtopia College made a deliberate decision not to participate in federal student loan programs because we believe graduate education should not leave leaders buried in debt. That commitment shapes how we price our programs and build our financial support systems. Students have several options available:

Institutional Scholarships and Grants — Kingtopia College offers institutional scholarships and grants funded through our founding campaign and ongoing donor support. Eligible students can apply for need-based and merit-based awards that reduce their out-of-pocket tuition costs.

Employer and Organization Tuition Assistance — Many employers, churches, and nonprofits offer tuition assistance or professional development funding for employees pursuing graduate education. We encourage students to explore what their organization may offer.

Private Scholarships — A number of private foundations, faith-based organizations, and community groups offer scholarships for graduate students that are not tied to federal aid eligibility.

Installment Payment Plans — Kingtopia College offers installment payment options so students can spread tuition payments across the program rather than paying everything upfront.

Personal Funds — Because our tuition is priced significantly below comparable programs — $475 per credit hour compared to $546 to $619 at similar institutions — many students are able to fund their education through personal savings, family support, or a combination of sources without taking on debt.

Our goal is that no leader is turned away because of cost. If finances are a concern, we encourage you to reach out to us directly and we will work with you to find a path forward.
